Notice on the Disposal of Used Batteries
In connection with the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, we as a retailer are obliged to inform you of the following:
1. Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste
Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of via household waste. As an end user, you are legally required to return used batteries. Separate collection enables proper treatment and the recycling of valuable raw materials.
Please help protect the environment and human health by following these rules.

Please note:
Damaged or swollen lithium batteries must not be sent by mail for safety reasons. These should only be returned to appropriate municipal collection points.
3. Meaning of battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
Additional chemical symbols may be present under the wheelie bin:
Pb: contains more than 0.004% by weight of lead
Cd: contains more than 0.002% by weight of cadmium
Hg: contains more than 0.0005% by weight of mercury
These substances can be harmful to the environment and human health. Please handle these batteries carefully and dispose of them via separate collection.
4. Tips for waste reduction and reuse
Where possible, use rechargeable batteries and use products for as long as possible. Recycling used batteries allows the recovery of metals such as cobalt, lithium, nickel, or lead.

Battery Act / Battery Act Implementation Act (BattDG) in its current version
The respective national implementation rules in EU member states
