Motorcycle Rear-View Mirrors

In Germany, motorcycle mirrors require an E-mark since January 1, 1990. This certification indicates that the mirrors have received type approval in accordance with relevant European directives and thus meet legal requirements. Motorcycle mirrors in Germany must have a mirror surface of at least 69 cm².

• Motorcycles from year 1990 onwards: Must have mirrors with an E-mark.

• Motorcycles built before 1990: These are subject to national regulations valid at that time and do not require an E-mark.
